Hello,

I actually like the printers put out by Brother. I have a Brother All-In-One Printer (copy, scan, fax and print). Before having my own business, I've worked in companies that used HP or Epson printers and had less than stellar results. However, printing was high use and it's possible the printers the company purchased were exactly for high-use printing.

Overall though - I like my Brother printer because I've never had any major problems, it's easy to use and although the brand ink is expensive, I can get generic ink online for MUCH less.

Hi!

I use a LEXMARK all-in-one although I use the scanner and fax features more so than the printer! This is my second all-in-one...I had an HP when I first opened my biz. The Lexmark is about 2 years old and quite reliable. I use a refill kit for the ink but I do change the cartridges every other time.

Ink refill kit.. I've often wondered about them. Always wanted to try it, but wasn't sure of what type of (printing) results that I would end up getting.

I think it depends on how much printing you are going to do and if you need the fax/scan capabilities also. Right now I am using a Lexmark. It's cool because it's wireless and I can print from my office to the kitchen. I really don't need to print much for my VA business. I am trying to say as paperless as possible. The drawback to the Lexmark is the ink cost. I think it is kind of high. I had a brother before this one. The colored in came separate containers so it was supposed to save money on ink. HP has been advertising that their new all-in-one uses less ink. I never really had problems with any of them. Like I said, I think it just is a matter of what features you need.

Re: Printer
Use the HP Officejet Pro 8500A . It is a great printer. Prints two-sided, adjustable tray for legal size. Love the ink cartridges, I can get over 1,200 copies with color and 2,200 copies with my black. Yes, the printer is a tad expensive and cartridges as well, but in the long run they are worth it. I have have gotten my money worth.

I currently use the Epson Worforce 600 and have had no problems... It is a wireless all-in-one but I basically use it for printing and scanning. I'm considering a laser printer because I'm thinking my business cards, brochures, etc would look better. Does anyone use a laser printer? If so, which one and how do you like it compared to an inkjet??
