Try Ross and Marshall as well. You can find great envelope and paper stock for little or nothing! I've found small hard cover notebooks that I give out to my clients once I add their company information to the cover of the notebooks or envelopes.

Just another quick cheap find I am not sure if everyone has access to The Dollar Tree, but they always have great office supply items, (name brand things) paper, ink pens, special occasion paper everything. And it's only $1 BUCK!

Yard sales often turn up unexpected treasures. Drop into thrift stores as well and take a look at the household and "stuff" areas. It's surprising what you may find for next to nothing. If you're really into treasure hunting, office furniture, chairs and so on can often be spotted at the curb on garbage day -Lordy I love my minivan - the dogmobile and treasure hauler!

Now I do go to thrift stores and yard sales and I agree those are excellent places to look for things to use.

Craig's list is another good source for office furniture and small equipment. When small businesses go out of business, they usually post there.

Re: Office Supply on a Budget
Now this is my favorite thing to do. I have to admit that I am a supply junkie. That would be truly my ideal job to just order supplies all day. I find myself spending a great deal of time in these types of stores. If you all have a Family Tree or Deals in your area, those are great places to get this cheap. Most definitely the Clearance Racks are the bomb.
Regarding the free paper for trading in a ink cartridge, where was this at?

Re: Office Supply on a Budget
good ideas! I always think of the office supply stores as being expensive, now I know where to look. I also never think of the $1 stores.
Thanks for the tips!

I have to agree with you Dollar Tree and other dollar stores like Deals are the best. Can't beat the price. Thanks for reminding me about these places. I had not thought of them for my office supplies.

Re: Office Supply on a Budget
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE! Okay, I'm beyond thrilled - I just purchased a huge 3 1/2 x 6 foot solid wood desk with file drawer, two pull out side writing areas and two smaller drawers for $10.00 at the Habitat for Humanity Restore!!!! If you have one of these stores near you, definitely check it out. You would be amazed at the deals you can find especially on furniture. Now I can really start setting up a proper office.

I know this is an old post....but I can really relate. My daughter and I went to Office Depot for a binder and spent over an hour in there just looking and wishing. She kept asking if we were done and I kept telling her one more isle. I too am an office supply junkie.
