Default Office Equipment and Great Finds
So as I was browsing Craig's List one day, I came across this ad in the "Free" section. When I looked at it my jaw hit the floor! There was a guy in a neighboring city who was giving away a Xerox Document Centre 230ST because it didn't work, and his wife wanted him to get rid of it. Being the computer and electronics geek that I am, I immediately shot him an email.
I got the unit, brought it home, and within an hour had it fixed! I am now the proud owner of a very expensive piece of equipment, and I got it for FREE! This thing does everything but kiss me goodnight... copies, duplex scan and print, collates, sorts, staples, and so much more.

So the best part was that it came with a full toner cartridge in it, and two additional brand new ones still in the box. These cartridges alone are over $500 a piece! Each cartridge prints more than 25,000 pages.

So I wanted to see if anyone else has stumbled across amazing finds for your office and some of the equipment you use.

Awesome find Winston! Excellent way to get something for nothing. I just would be yelled at for bringing something that big home LOL Now I wonder how many people are on craigs list trying to find great deals like that

Lol...I know what you mean. This thing is pretty big and extremely heavy. My office is in the finished basement so getting it down the stairs was a nightmare. I've had it about a month now and I catch myself finding excuses to play with it. To a computer and electronic nerd like me, its just a big toy!

Okay you win the big find game. I was excited because I just got a brand new office chair at Goodwill for $20. It was originally about $100. I am sitting in it now. The machine you got is really a great find. Don't you feel like you found gold when these "bargains" are found? I do.
Congrats,
diana

LOL, I understand. I had a huge copy machine in the house and then it ended up on the back porch then in the shed, then in a yard sale LOL The family kept complaining about all the noise and the heat it put out. So, there you go lol

LOL, this is my second copy machine. The first one was an older dinosaur that eventually ended up in storage. Of course I was not running my business then, so it was never used. I have a bad addiction to computers, printers, copiers, etc. and I can't pass a good deal up if I see it, lol. I probably had 25 printers in storage along with that old copier that I recently, and reluctantly, finally got rid of. Something is wrong with me...LOL!!!

What a hoot! Hey Winston, what about your snakes?! They probably can't move as fast as your dogs. OH NO - even though you're quite a distance from Iowa, I'm hiding my kitties!! Glad I don't have my physical address on my website for times like these.

Enjoy your new Turbo!

I bought a label maker and my kids started using it, then my sister wanted to borrow it. I don't think I have used it yet, and I bought it to label my files... ha ha

The joke was on you, eh Tamera? Start charging them for using it, and maybe you'll get your label maker back in short order. One can hope...!

The fun thing is that this one is not a handheld, its an actual printer that connects to the computer. I can put graphics, word-art.... all kinds of things on my labels! Like a picture of the dog, to put on the dog... you know, LOL!!!

It's amazing how much you can find for free or next to nothing on Craigslist and Kijiji. Then there's Goodwill (which my mother and I call "The Boutique"), Sally Ann, Valu Village, yard sales and even stuff at the curb on garbage day - incredible what will fit in a minivan Eventually it becomes a kind of hobby!

Don't even get me started on thrift stores and yard sales.... I'm an addict!!!

I once crammed a huge Sharp Copier into a tiny Dodge Colt. If I want it bad enough, I will make it fit! LOL!

lol. I have had to turn so many things down as I just don't have room but for 10 years I worked in the restoration business and the amount of stuff insurance cashes out and gets new for homeowner is amazing. We were always allowed to pick over and take what we want. Then we would sell the rest with proceeds going to the Christmas party or something like that. Good Times....
