Default Noise reducing headsets????
Hi everyone,
I've temporarily moved my work space to a sometimes noisy street as renovations are being done at my regular work space. The street can be terribly noisy at times and I don't want to have a client call me and hear the background noise ( sometimes I think it would have been better to stay home). Anyways, I was wondering if any of you could offer suggestions in terms of quality and affordable noise reducing headsets that you have used and would personally recommend or anything for that matter you think would block out the road noises. By the way, I'm using a Nortel Networks telephone, just in case brand matters.

Hi Carlana -

I have a plantronics headset -that I never use lol. I did try it out a couple times, seemed to work really well and comfort was good. They are a bit pricey though.

I also know logistics offers headsets as well.

ha. I would go to best buy and try on every pair that is of interest to you lol..

I have a jaba noise cancelling headset- and its wireless! I couldn't live without it. It makes moving around the house a breeze. I can check the mail, do some laundry or just get a cup of coffee all without detection! It was well worth the money.

I have Logistics or Plantronics (not sure) and they are noise reducing. I got them on the Skype Website for about $20. I really like them and they keep the background noise to a minimum.

Thanks Shay. I've been checking out some of the headsets that were recommended but there are very expensive. This is the best price I've heard so far so I'll definitely look into it.

I have used all the noise cancellation devices but have found that there are times that the the background noise is unavoidable. When this happens I just pack my things up, pickup my laptop and go to a wireless place. I have a Dunkin Donuts close to me with free wireless internet which is pretty quiet and I use it sometimes when there is a lot of noise in the background. This also gives me a little break and a change of atmosphere.

Hi Carlana, I have a Plantronics headset, and I have been very happy with it. The sound is crisp, clear and it is totally comfortable to wear.

hello,
I used to work for a company that I had to use Plantronics (Loved it!) I now own one and use it for all my calls even tried it when my husband called when my kids were running around to really see if he could hear them...lol, of course I did not tell him just waited to see if he said anything about them, and guess what.. he never did he just kept going on and on and on about his job...lol so I say get it and you will love it as well,, yes they can be expensive but a tax write off in the end.
