You Shouldn?t Be Eating - http://t...   Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: Jersey Shore Posts: 1,123 No audio on my new Dell webcam? I am using my built-in webcam for the first time. I recorded something but when I play it back, there is no audio. . My audio settings are on for my computer and the webcam. The software was installed with my new laptop computer but Skype video told me they can't detect a webcam. So I reinstalled the software to no avail. Anyone else have this problem with their webcam? I had some problems with my Dell at first because it wasn't picking up that I used a headset microphone rather than the built in mic.

On my laptop if I have my headset plugged in I need to enable the mic so that it picks up that and not the built in mic which does not pickup the audio when both are in use. __________________ Lee Drozak My Office Assistant

I got a warning error saying my driver could not be found and to download my driver CD which I don't have . All I have is my webcam control center which is not the same thing apparently. When I went to Dell's website they had a listing of different webcams and mine was not listed. I guess I am going to have to call Dell up, not looking forward to that part. So I was using my headset from my other computer. But I found out my driver was not installed so I have to call up Dell about that since the CD was not included. I changed my settings to pick up the headset instead of the mic icon. HTH a bit, Hi Jules, The webcam came with the laptop that I bought at Qvc. It is a Dell webcam but it is not listed on the Dell website for drivers, not mine anyway. Strange....I think I have to just call up Dell, I tried to email them 3X now and there is an error saying "try later".. I just haven't had time to call..
