Lee, I have Carbonite and I can restore files on any computer I have with that system. I also have ClickFree, an external drive that I use as a second backup method which does the same thing. HTH

I use DropBox to save my files http://www.dropbox.com/. You can access the files anywhere. In fact you can share it two computer so you can save it to dropbox and load to your new computer. They offer a free account.

Thanks everyone, I decided to take advantage of Windows 7 easy share since I did decide to only move my folders and settings. Fortunately I have access to an IT guy who helped me with the rest. I did not realize how much old stuff I had on the other one that I did not use any longer. But the good news is that I still have access to it!
