Hi Everyone,

I need your help to find the upgrade link for Mac OS X 10.6 and the best external hard drive for my Mac. I didn't realize the need until recently and now I panic

I have a Mac OS X 10.5.8 and I would like to go for 10.6 Snow Leopard. (The reason is my website doesn't support Safari 5.0.6, it needs 5.1) And the present Mac OS doesn't allow me to download Safari 5.1. So, I have no other choice. I know, I have to purchase this from Apple Store. But, I am not able to find the link to Mac OS X 10.6 (because, it's too old now). Or Can I upgrade to later version without having the 10.6 version?

And, I also want an external hard drive for my Mac (should be compatible with Mac). Since, I am not a techie person, I am not able to choose the best one (even though I have researched on the internet). Internet results are really confusing and I don't want to buy a product which may not be suitable for my Mac

Can anybody recommend me an external hard drive which is compatible with Mac?
Here are my Mac details
Mac OS X Version 10.5.8
Processor - 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 2GB

I have always got answers for my questions here and I really love this forum because of all the great VAs here.

I honestly don't know where to find 10.6 since it's obsolete now - unless you check eBay or Amazon (or perhaps put a note in the Classifieds here on VAF or on Craigslist).

As to the external hard drive, we have a Seagate 1.5 terabyte (it's tiny and fast, as well as very affordable, and plays nicely with all of our Apple machines).

I knew, you would definitely reply to this thread. I wanted to send you a PM. But, couldn't find the link. I got the link for Mac OS X 10.6 from Winston. And Thank you so much for the Seagate 1.5 terabyte. I have 2 more recommendations. I will decide quickly and let you know how it went.
