I had no idea exactly where to post this so I settled here. I have file on a CD in CDA format. I don't really know what that is other than my research telling me they can't be copied like regular audio files and they apparently have to be ripped off the CD and then converted. (Sounds painful...LOL!) This is a recording that I need to transcribe and I have to have it on the computer rather than a CD and in a format the Express Scribe will take (like MP3, WAV, etc.)
Does anyone here know anything about this, done it, or can offer advice on a good program to purchase? Will the CDA file on the CD stay intact after this process? This client is one I've worked with before (and he's great!) and I never received files in this format before. The different places they went to used different ways to record the focus groups so I have two standard cassettes, one DVD, two flash drives, and one in this CDA format!!!
Any help would be tremendously appreciated!!
EDIT: Okay I just realized I put this in the Computer Hardware board instead of Software. Too anxious to get the post on here, I do believe! SORRY!
