I guess it depends on what services you are offering. This will dictate if you need any additional equipment or software. For example, if you plan on doing transcription, then you may need additional equipment for that. You may need extra equipment, such as a fax machine if you plan to offer faxing or need faxing and do not want to use an online fax service. If you need a scanner to scan in photos or documents, that might be something else you will need. But basically a good computer, with a good mouse, speakers and a printer is enough to start.
