I'm curious to know if there are any VAs, who are self-supporting, using only their income from their VA business? This will be my situation, eventually, and I just want to get a feel as to whether this is really possible. Thanks.

Yes, I am self supporting, as is my sister. We work together as a team. My husband has a very small income (retired) which pays for the groceries, but that is all.
My sister is the sole income provider for a family of 3.
I started September last year and had an income really right from the beginning.
So it is possible really.

I am not self-supporting however could be if needed. My husband and I plan on living off my business income when he takes early retirement in several years. It is possible and doable.

You can do it! I know a few VAs that are self-supporting so it can be done.

Yup! Clerical Advantage and related projects are my only source of income. Been self supporting since 2008.

Yep, me too. Actually my husband is currently handling some aspects of projects I have going on right now, since he recently lost his job.

It's completely doable.

Freelancealot has been my only source of income since I established it with my partner in 2000. He had a full-time job for the first five years and we couldn't have managed without that income. But we're both engaged full time with Freelancealot now.

You get quiet patches, and then periods where you just don't have enough hours in the day. But those quiet patches are always useful for getting your own business admin and marketing done.
