I would say that working after 5 pm is going to be a little tough on you when it comes to clients. I know that the clients that I work with request that I be open all hours of the day or from 8:30 to 5:30 M-F. I assume that if you have a job that you can take messages or answer emails it could be possible but you might run into a problem finding clients. I started to become a VA full-time while I was a full-time Administrative Assistant at the local University and it worked since I can check emails and answer phones while at work. Yes my boss approved of the work also.

Hello Everyone!! I am so relieve to read about how many of us started or are starting their VA Business Part Time!
I just started mine and I don work Part time (9:30 - 2pm) as an Administrative Assistant. I have access to my email and anything I need online. I hope this will work!

I have also been pleased to read this thread. As a full time worker who is looking to build VA business on evenings and at weekends, it has given me renewed hope that my plan is possible.

Hi:

My problem is that my real estate business has gotten so busy (this is the start of the "busy" season) that I have little time to work at my V.A. business.

My goal is to do both.

I too am so glad to read these responses. I work full-time and started my business "officially" in January. I have 2 clients, but am finding it hard to keep up with all the social media, reading and learning. I wish that I could do it full-time and really make it happen, but I can't for financial reasons. Do you think I'll know when it's time to take it to the next level?
