I am looking for a Project Description Questionnaire
Hi All,
I'm just wondering if anyone uses a project description questionnaire and if they'd mind sharing their ideas on what one should be asking? Would be most appreciated.

Hi Alana,

Personally I would make notes during the initial telephone consult then, if it might be a "go" make notes again at the face to face consult. Send the prospective client an email covering all aspects of their requirements and if they respond to it you have a paper trail so to speak. Always save your emails!

People look to hire us because they're frantically busy and overwhelmed. The last thing they want to do is fill out forms and if they have to fill out forms they'll likely move along to another VA who will make it easy for them. If you're into form-filling you can always do that yourself from your notes for your records. Personally I'd rather be out in the woods with my dogs than filling out forms.

I work on the KISS system, so just my personal thoughts.

Lynne

I do not use a project description questionnaire. I do have an initial consult and follow up with either a proposal or if they sign a welcome kit that includes a project scope overview. I agree with Lynn that the last thing some clients want is another form to complete. I do however have a list of questions based on a service and get the answers through the consult.

Depending on the service the client is in need of will determine the questions that are asked.
