Default What do you keep hardcopies of? (bookkeeping)
I seem to have all my processes online (freshbooks, basecamp, quickbooks, etc.). But obviously I need to keep paper copies of some things in case the site goes down, no internet, etc.

What do you keep hardcopies of? Client stuff? Bookkeeping? Invoices?

I would love to get insight into the system you use.

I do not (except tax returns) instead I have both an online backup system and a portable hard drive that I back up to as well.

I also back up as well, with Carbonite and Click Free, but being the worry wart that I am I also must print out specific docs in order to sleep at night

Anything which I feel is important enough that I can't afford to lose I print it out and file in the appropriate manila folder.

I keep all of mine online too. I use a combo of dropbox.com and carbonite. Having the double coverage in place makes me comfortable enough not to print anything.

I worry about this issue too. I print out client contracts and contact information just in case I need it offline!

All records that I have collected for the business I have computer records and hardcopy files too.

I think that it is nice to rely on either the computer or the hard copy files because shall one not be available then the other set of files can be referred to.

I keep all my records in QuickBooks. Anything I would have normally printed out, I print to a PDF and store in a client folder on my machine (I do this ALOT!! LOL), which gets backed up daily to Mozy. Things I need available in multiple places, I also keep a pdf in my Dropbox.
