From Web Worker Daily "The Art of Delegating Tasks to a Virtual Assistant"
The Art of Delegating Tasks to a Virtual Assistant <----- click to read

I probably don't even need to into this article - great, concise writeup from Web Worker Daily on exactly what it says - the ART of Delegating to a VA.

Good addition to your industry articles if you're linking them from your VA site or blog.

Did they miss any important tips for clients?

Thanks for posting and tweeting about this, Tess. It was definitely one of the better posts that I've seen about working with a VA.

I think they also could have mentioned that there is going to be a time of getting to know one another and their workstyles so clients should expect to have to put in a little more time in the beginning about communicating than they will later on.

I also commented on their recommendation for doing background checks. That seems more like something you would do on an employee and not an independent contractor. Certainly, it can depend on a specific situation, but unless highly confidential information was going to passed on to me, I would not consent to a background check. (Not that I have anything to hide...I used to work for parole & probation, but I do value my privacy.)
