Hi Maria,

I don't like this website. I've tried visiting this site a few times and each time my security software pops up telling me the site is trying to download a trojan. I then must disinfect my computer and restart it. I don't like that.

My security software is F-Secure. I've used it for 7 years now and I've never had any virus issues because it catches every one. So, I'll be staying away from Virtual Nation.

My security software is included with my ISP package.

The only problem with it is that my computer must remain at home. So, if I travel then my software won't get updated because it's through my ISP. But, I don't travel so it isn't an issue for me.

However, I have tried other popular security programs and this one has no software compatibility issues like some of the others. Having used it for so many years I would not hesitate to purchase it as a stand alone security program for my computer. I love it!

Thanks for the information Shari, I'm going to check into that. Right now my computer is running off of Mcaffee but the bigger the company doesn't always mean the better.

Virtual Nation is run by a very well established, long-in-business, professional virtual assistant who really knows her stuff. Michelle has very useful information within her community and is very active in the VA industry.

While I don't know anything about "a virus" on her site, I would recommend that you visit her group and check it out. Remember, all groups are not for all people, but because Michelle Urlich runs it, I would recommend it without hesitation.

I've never looked into the community aspect of the site but I was subscribed to the newsletter for a while - good info, nice presentation - not too too many ads. All in all the newsletter was a great resource for a new VA.

I have been to the site recently and didn't have any issue with a trojan horse or any flags thrown up by our home network security system...I'm sure the site owner would like to be notified (I know if that was happening here I'd want to know about it). She may not even be aware.
