You most definitely should continue, you might just need to stretch your brain more
I would use this list as a stepping point to come up with additions that reflects what would help your target customer base save time and money, your own experiences and background. There are areas that the list doesn't cover that you can add and you don't know how frequently the person who wrote this guide will be keeping the list up to date so that might be one thing as far as value you can bring (adding an addendum).
When I come across things that are similar to what I am planning on doing then I just use that opportunity to figure out an angle that improves upon or adds a different type of value. It might take more effort but compiling the list would also be a learning experience for you because in the process you run across new things and as you update the list it will start to more and more reflect the things that are important to your target customer base.
