Default Training as a Virtual Assistant
Hi Everyone,

I am an experienced EA (10 years corporate and Goverment) and am now setting up as a VA. Because of my vast experience, I do not think I need to train as a VA specifically (though I do believe in keeping one's skills updated and believe in training).

Have many of you completed the VA training programmes that now abound? What were your experiences? Was it worth it and if so, can you recommend any particular course?

Cheers!

OG

hi there,

there are many fabulous VA courses out there. I have read many great books and there are so many self study programs you can try out. I did a few courses with the VA Coach Erin Blaskie and love her programs. I am currently working on VA classroom for my internet marketing certificaiton also and it is a awesome program also!

You do not have to do a va course you can even just browse the entire forum and buy a few good va books and you will be ready to rock and roll! The VA courses are fabulous though if you feel that you are going into the industry with your eyes closed.

I did not take any VA courses but do have a college education. I also take classes to keep up on technology and to learn new skills. There are tons of great books to read and help. And of course the forum is a tremendous resource thanks to all the input from everyone.

Thank you for your input Scarcasole and Leedrozak. I think I'll exhaust all the books I can find and then I'll seriously put some thought into further training. I am also checking out VA Coach Erin Blaskie now. Her site looks very interesting! Shall look into it.
