Think twice, type once
When I get my panties in a bunch my productivity falls through the floor! At all costs I try to avoid negative thoughts, negtive people and negative tasks until the end of the day. Maybe not the best idea to end the day on a negative note but I'd rather do that than start my day with one and be down and out all day!

I borrowed a popular saying from my husband's industry for this and I think it is a perfect fit! In construction "measure twice, cut once" logically saves time and money. (Who wants to order extra materials when you've wasted the ones you already had?) In construction a bad situation can be easily remedied with extra cash. Sitting in front of the keyboard after you have already clicked send...extra cash will get you, well, nada! You can't buy back that post to a string, that reply email, that comment on a blog.

Doesn't it make you feel great when you do something right and the next day you see how you did "it" right some place else in your world? This morning on my Bloglines was this blog post and, as my twins used to say, "Tum dum!" I felt so great because I could say I did it right yesterday! Talk about increasing productivity!

So, go forth ladies (and gentlemen) and "Pressume good intent." Oh, this is so totally going on the wall in my office!

Make it a great day!

Thanks, Sundi - that's going up on my wall, too! I'm a firm believer in attitude is everything, and in taking responsibility for myself. In dealing with others (especially online), I try to remember that I only have a PERCEPTION of them. As long as I treat others with respect, it doesn't matter what they do or say. We'll either get something positive out of the exchange or not, but maintaining respect allows me to avoid jumping into personal attack (or defense!) mode.

Thanks for this closing, too - reminds me of my brother, who is a radical peace activist. He always closes messages and conversations with "Peace!" and "Make a beautiful day!"
