Default Salary comparison for Canada
I wasn't sure where to post this but I'm trying to find statistics or anything comparing Canadian salaries vs. using virtual assistant just like the calculator on this forum but with Canadian benefits and deductions. Anybody could point me to the right direction?

Thank you.

Genevieve,

Check temp agencies but you'll find a large range across the country and even within industries. Canadian benefits and deductions would be close to the US numbers. Since most of the virtual world is based on the US dollar I don't think you'd be too far off by using those, nor do you need to go into that much detail do you?

In the Greater Toronto area temp agencies were charging Can$28/$30 per hour last year for a receptionist (i.e. answer the phone, open the mail). If they didn't work out and were sent away after a few hours the company still had to pay for a whole day. If the temp was eventually hired by the company then the company had to pay 3 months' salary as a commission. Hope that helps.
