Very cool Thanks for sharing this!

I find it interesting that the article is focussed on *employees* - but I suppose there must be some admins who do telecommute on a regular paycheck, as opposed to being business owners/independent operators.

I did that until I moved out of state, at which point I became an independent contractor. Same job, different tax structure. Many companies are offering telecommuting to save on overhead.

I've noticed that a lot of work at home articles focus on telecommuting employees. When you're looking for something you can do from home it's a little frustrating to see that since there really aren't too many employers that are willing to do that for current admin employees. I have seen a couple of mentions of virtual assistants so it's obvious that this field of work is starting to become more well known:-)

What was interesting to me about the jobs listed in this article is that 90% of them I've seen VA's on this board have as their "niche" or specialty!

Hello - thanks for the article. I would like to start my own VA business but in the area i live in I am afraid it wouldn't go over well, that being said I am going to give it a try! I do think of "employed VA's" as still VA's. Does that make sense?
