They work the same as MS Office. I bought a new computer system for my business earlier this year and decided to put Open Office on instead of buying another copy of MS Office 2007. The files are interchangeable between the two programs. I work off of three computers at once during a work day. I saved myself a lot of $$$$ by doing this. The Open Office doesn't have Outlook or anything comparable to it, but the rest of the programs are in the MS Office Suite.

From what I've read about Open Office Suite, it can be used with the MAC. Here is the link to download:

I really like www.officezilla.com. It has the ability to manage projects and I can give clients and contractors individual logins so they have access to only their work.
