Default Learning the ropes
Hi everyone,
I see a lot of postings where they mention subcontracting to other VAs. Do you know if there is a place where VAs post requests for a subcontractor or how to go about putting yourself out there and connecting with another VA? Thought it would be a good way to learn the ropes while trying to build my own business.

I hope this was ok to ask on this forum!

Thanks
Katie B

Hi Katie
You can always check out the Classifieds right here on the forums - often times VAs will post there or will submit a listing via our RFP form when searching for someone to sub to (click here to visit the Virtual Assistant Marketplace. Please note you do have to have 25 posts to access this part of the site)

You can also place a services offered listing in our Classifieds, just like you would on Craigslist!

Many other virtual assistant websites and forums have similar places for members to list work requests.

Being active on the forums is also another way to "get noticed"!

Good point Doreen!
I've just recently heard in the past month of numerous working relationships that were developed right here without the benefit of an ad being placed at all.
The more you put yourself out there as experienced, intelligent, and willing to share your knowledge here the more likely another VA will take notice and possibly come to you when she has a subcontract in mind

(And I LOVE hearing about all of the work going on around here - it's so cool to know that the forums are helping to facilitate that!)
