I know exactly what you mean. The thing you have to do is convey what you do in a way that they don't look at you like this:
I actually just posted a podcast just on this topic and it helped me understand how to convey my message about who I am and what I do in a way that not only captures my audience...but is easy to understand. I have a feeling people won't be thinking of me as just a typist any longer

Know you are not alone, but also know, you can get to a point where people will not just assume you do typing and that instead, you are a partner instrumental to their business and there to help them succeed.
***edited to add, that there isn't anything wrong with being a typist if that is what you love and all that you do!
