Thanks Tess for the insight into how you got started. Sometimes I can overthink things and then I never get started. It takes one step at a time and it is a learning process. Thanks for the reminder.

Such nice comments and encouragement, thank you very much for taking the time to read the interview

It really IS a process - this interview is proof of that itself. It's about two years old at this point and here I am in a completely different space. Even now, I am much more confident in my own abilities as a service provider, a business owner, etc.

Thanks everyone for being a part of the giant, ongoing conversation here at VAF!

Glad to hear a Dell's a good choice. I let my husband choose my laptop with the intention of starting out on this new venture. I also love my Dell, but I need to become more saavy with the marketing and figuring out how to find real opportunities for myself. That's why I'm here. Thanks' also for the software tips.

Tess, well said! You are an inspiration to everyone on this forum, I'm sure.

It's really nice to hear your story the way you told it, without the usual amount of cheese that comes with 'rag to riches' tales, which more often than not render them slightly difficult to believe!

Your interview gave me the sense you have a genuine pride in all you have accomplished to date. Well done.

Hi Christine - thanks for your comments
I'm not sure my story really fits into the 'rags to riches' genre... after all, I was living on the beach in India, not exactly at the 'rags' end of the deal in life. But what I didn't have was a direction - and that's where the VA 'thing' fit in so nicely with what would be my eventual success and fabulous N.O.W.

I'm blessed, to be sure. And ever so grateful!

From all VAs (i think all would agree)........thank you for building this Forum. You are Awesome and an inspiration to us all. I am thankful every time I am in the Forum for soooooo much you have brought to us aspiring to build a killer successful business...and the freedom that comes with it.

Starting up my business is definitely out of necessity as well. I am SICK of the Corporate environment.........you think if you have an 8 - 5 you are secure....not anymore.........gone are those days!! And Loyalty....the Corporate dictionary does not contain that word!!

THANKS TESS!!!
