Default How to grow your business outside your business.
I have always been the type to help others when I found something out that could help them since I have been down that road. Due to the economy not running the way we like I feel that we should all think outside the box when it comes to financial situation and planning of our business. I have found the perfect reading material and such for that purpose.

I have been reading and participating in books and programs of the 'Rich Dad Poor Dad" series. For those that have idea what this is and what it relates to here is a which summary.

Robert Kiyosaki wrote a book called "Rich Dad Poor Dad" about his childhood and the financial status of his two "Dads". His real dad was a high-end education leader in Hawaii and lived paycheck to paycheck, his main teaching was "Get and education and a secure job." Robert's other "dad" was the father of his best friend and he was building a multi-million dollar empire in Hawaii. Robert's Rich dad taught his that in life you need to have money "work for you." Robert learned how to be financially successful from the teachings of his Rich dad.

The basic part of the story is how Robert fingured out how to have money "work" for him. This book has many rules of investing and how having a secure lifestyle is never going to get you anywhere.

This book can help us VAs because it showed me how I can use my small VA business to fund my greater dreams. At the moment I bring in about $75,000 a year from my business and I know that I can't retire with that salary the way the world is right now. I am using the money from this business to fund my free college education program right now. I have been doing this for 2 years and I am going through the accredition meetings to have my college accredited so I can give out degrees to people that take my programs. I learned this from "Rich Dad Poor Dad." Robert also taught me how to save money on taxes by having my business buy real estate so that They do not come off my income tax but my corporation's. This is just one of the many ways that this series teaches investors and businesspeople to use their money.

One of my favorite books of his is "The Guide to Investing." This book is the one that I think that it would help everyone of us in our goals.

Robert also has a game called Cashflow 101 & Cashflow 102, both games can be played online at his website with people all over the world. I love to play this game and I know you will too.

I've read Rich Dad, Poor Dad more than once (and LOVE the wisdom of this book)
My husband/business partner thought it might be good to read it early on in our business when I was having a hard time with the idea of investing substantially n our company's growth. Reading that book totally changed my perspective on money, business growth, what 'investment' really means, and more...

Thanks for posting the link, I didn't realize the games existed online, I'll check it out for sure!

Just out of curiosity - what changed for you when you read Rich Dad - any specific epiphanies?
