Hi everyone,

Thanks for your responses! In case you're wondering, an e-newsletter including these tips is still in the works; it just got pushed back a little when I started my online classes and realized that there aren't 36 hours a day to get everything done. I hope to have my first issue out by mid-March. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks again to everyone who contributed time management tips and tricks. My first e-newsletter has FINALLY been sent! Woo-hoo! It feels so good to get it out there.

I didn't have email addresses for some of you who added your tips, so if you want to see a copy of the e-newsletter (which includes your name and a link back to your website), please PM me with your email address.

If anyone else who wants to see my e-newsletter filled with time management tips and tricks from the pros , please send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a copy.

I believe what has saved me time and time again when it comes to time management is that I prioritize prioritize prioritize. Working as a legal assistant, I have to prioritize everything, so I just transfer that lifestyle to the rest of my life.

Hi

What really helped me with my time management was having a timer right by my computer. I will often set it for 15 minutes for answering emails, or 15 minutes for going to forums, or client work, etc., and it really works in keeping me on track. There are times that I need to run a little over, but often times when the buzzer goes off, I go onto my next task. Plus, it takes away the guilt. I love going to boards and such, but often times I get so caught up it's an hour later and I'm in trouble of getting everything done.

I also think of time as money sometimes. This really sounds silly, but it works for me. When I do something I'll put my hourly rate to it and say, was that productive. By doing this I really cut out IMs and a lot of time robbers once I saw what I was doing.

One thing that also helps me is to clean my desk at night and in the morning. There used to be weeks where by the end of the week my side desk was toppling over with books and papers. Now I try and do it regularly and I feel so much more in control.

I'd love a copy!

Thanks!
