Wondering if anyone here has registered for work or gained any work using Virtual Office Temps? They are on http://www.virtualassistantjobs.com. If so, what was the experience like? Did it lead to more work? What pre-requisites are needed? I notice they mention that you must have a website and fax number.

I just read the original thread, I am new to the VA world and I am finding all this information to be very helpful.

I registered with them right at the beginning but it has not produced any results. The registry process is extremely complicated, my VA details kept disappearing from my profile, the requirements for selection were excessive, if you send a query you won't receive a response and from what I saw the hourly rates were very low so I unsubscribed from their page.

I was looking at their website a couple of weeks ago but didn't sign up. Now that I read this thread, I'm glad I didn't.

Read the original thread and all the posts. I signed up to VOT but will be opting out now!

I signed up with them a couple of years ago and never received any results. I still get regular emails about new jobs, but I really do not feel that they are legitimate. (I keep forgetting to remove my profile.) They are mostly there to advertise. (Credit services, websites, efax, etc.) They try to tell you that you must have certain services to apply for a job. (Also NEVER give them or anyone your credit report. Identity theft waiting to happen!!) You could have a subscription to everyone one of the services required and be the best VA in the business and you still would not see any results. Truthfully I would not waste my time.

That is exactly how I feel about them. I get the emails but I don't think the jobs are real and the specifications are ridiculous. You have to have tons of software on your computer to even be considered and even if you apply there is never a response (good or bad). It made me wonder...

I have not used virtual assistant temps but I have used Elance before. Be patient and you will be able to find someone trustworthy.
