My "newbie brain" is in overload here, but I got to thinking about that quote "Two heads are better than one". Wouldn't it make a better presentation to a client if say two VA's with different expertise went into business together? Approaching the business world as a whole with inventive and new ideas and abilities of jobs well done.
Are you guys solely working alone or do you have more VA's in your business? If so do you think that gives your business an edge?
I was just doing some brainstorming with the idea, and seeing how other VA's work. I checked that out, and that was a great information, and I liked that idea. Sounds like it works well for some VA's.
I agree! I know several who are doing a booming business this way. It's just not for me. I like working alone. But if you're a strong leader and a people-person, it's definitely a viable option.
That's great. I like working alone, but at the same time I enjoy working with others ...LoL I will defiantly be looking into this option a little more.
To me, it's a really interesting question: should the VA provide the one-stop shop services for clients, or should clients get the hang of assembling a team of VAs customized to their needs?
There are certainly many multi-VA practices, and I assume they do well. But I'm with you, AnnaLisa - I like to work on my own!
I too prefer to work alone, but you can't be everything to everyone so I refer requests for such things as bookkeeping/accounting, IT and graphic design to specialists I know locally. There is no $ involved either way - I refer to them and they refer to me = happy clients and no headaches.
I am currently working alone and building my client base, but a multi-VA practice is my ideal goal so I (my company) can provide one stop shopping for the client. Keep the money in house instead of referring the client to someone else for things like SEO, etc.
