Default Extensive list of FREE online courses offered by HP
Check out this incredibly extensive list of virtual classes offered by Hewlett Packard. To mention just a few of the topics offered:

Software and Technology
*PHP and MySQL: building web applications
*Microsoft Publisher
*Understanding Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition (Recommended!)

For IT Professionals
*Protect your data (Recommended!)

Business Skills
*Running a direct mail campaign
*Designing business docs
*Time management

Marketing
*Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Publisher courses
*Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat courses

The courses offered are really much more comprehensive than we could list here and is a great resource for a VA looking to expand knowledge of commonly used programs and software.
Courses are ongoing and updated regularly. Also, space is limited so check registration for the individual classes you're interested in.
If the course you want is currently full (and they *do* fill up) you can sign up to receive an email when the next session is open for registration.

Yes, I was surprised to find it too. It's actually a great little resource for finding tips and tricks related to the various programs on their list.

What a great variety of topics. I'm always searching for free training opportunities. It's a great way to be productive when you don't have client work to do. I've found the free webinars (I attended 1 and it was great) and the free tutorials offered by microsoft valuable as well. The tutorials you can skip through to items that are new to you which makes it a little faster and I've picked up some great new tips for MS office software programs.

Are you from the east coast? I lived in NJ for all my life and moved to AZ a few years back. I said that to someone who looked at me like I had 3 heads!
