This was one of the first books I purchased and it was the best $8 I have spent to date. I was an easy read, very methodical and poses a lot of questions for us newbies to consider.

I loved this book. It's not your normal "startup book" It really went into details about what it is going to take to get your business going, how to handle the overwhelming amount of information, a personal evaluation of yourself to see if you are right for a home-based business and my favorite part of the book...your spouse's and children's role in the business.

This was well written and worth every penny spent to purchase it. It is so full of "dog-eared" pages that I finally just went and put all the comments I wanted to keep on a typed page.

I would recommend this book to everyone that is just starting out. I picked up the book because of this forum's recommendation and as always, was not disappointed.

I totally love this book, it propelled me from thinking about starting my VA practice to actually directing me to websites to make sure my DBA was unique and not taken. The 2-Second Commute is very thorough and should be required reading for all VA's just starting out. Like me.

I'm going to pick this book up today, it sounds great. I also wanted to get The Virtual Assistant's Start-Up Manual but it's not currently available anywhere, hopefully it will be on ebay soon.

Looks like I need to add this to my to-do list! Thanks for the review...

I am on the ground floor of starting my VA business, and this was my first purchase. I have found this book to be very informative. I appreciate the realistic assesments provided by the author.

I just wanted to mention that this book is offered with a limited preview on google books for those who either can't get a copy right away, or would like even more info before purchasing. I just recently discovered google books, so if any of aren't familiar either, google offers free electronic copies of books with different levels of access. Some authors/publishers allow full access, some no access, and many offered a limited preview. The 2-Second Commute is offered as a limited preview, so they have a couple hundred pages available with various sections cut out, so you would still want to buy the full copy but it's great for getting an even better feel for whether or not you want to purchase it. Between Tammi's great reviews and google, I'm putting a nice little library together.
