Hello All,

I was looking online for books, that could be of help to me as I start my VA business. I came across this handbook http://www.amazon.com/Administrative.../dp/0814407846 , called Administrative Assistant's and Secretary's Handbook. Have any of you read this or heard of it? Do you think that it would be a good investment to have on hand for references?

OR do you have a better book/handbook suggestion that would be a better purchase for a aspiring Virtual Assistant's Desk?

Hi Sue, welcome to VAF.
There are a lot of good VA books out there. I can recommend what I have read which are:

Virtual Assistant The Series by Diana Ennen and Kelly Poelker
The 2 Second Commute by Christine Durst and Michael Haaren
The Virtual Assistance Guide to Marketing by Michelle Jamison
These are all good books to get you started.

You can also check out the book review section here on the board. It is an excellent source of information for all VAs esp newbies.

I checked this book out at the library and after flipping through the pages I went out and bought it. Just made the purchase today. I think it's a good desk reference to have if you are just starting out.

BTW, I'm a newbie too!
