I have not read this entire book but what I did read made me realize just why we have such an uphill battle when it comes to the overseas call centers encroaching on our marketplace.

What Mr. Ferris neglects to communicate is that overall, the quality and level of service at $4 is relative and that the phrase, you get what you pay for, is absolutely true.

This book encourages business owners to seek out the cheapest option when it comes to Virtual Assistance, which is not necessarily always the best advice.

The concept of the book as a whole, the four-hour workweek, the entrepreneur lifestyle, is great, but I don't agree that his way of getting there is the smart way. I would never sacrifice the quality of the work my clients or my own business receives to a $4 an hour 'assistant'.

Shiela, I have the 4hr work week but haven't finished reading yet. I did see the new edition at Borders the other day and was looking to see what was "new" in the book. I read the inside flap and there in print was the statement about outsourcing to other countrys because it so cheap!! I was very disappointed that the author encourages this. I have meant to look at my copy and see what he says in it, I am sure it is the same. So, yes, I have definately seen the book and when I went to a "networking" event the other night one new entreprenuer mentioned the book as a reference to his goals in business. I wonder how many others are hoping for a 4hr work week with the assistance of "cheap" outsourcing.
Sorry, that was suppose to be a short response.
