I was considering putting a slogan like Small Business Office Support under the name of my business and then just having my name in the corner

A great post! I quite like the title "General Manager" as it covers everything, whilst I am carrying out the services all by myself, I am running the business as well.

As a male VA/Social Media Marketer myself, with the testosterone pumping through my body, on my business cards, I have proudly listed myself as "GOD."

I used President because I'm new and I thought it sounded professional, but this is a great question. Thank you.

I use Proprietor on mine. I feel it lets people know that they are dealing with the person with whom the buck stops (ok I am also the person where it starts too because I am the only person but they don't really need to know that).

It never dawned on me *not* to put my home address on my cards, thanks so much for that tip. That's something I will need to think about.

I plan on using "Owner" as my title.

I have toyed with this question over and over and finally landed on "Proprietress" Still gets the message out, but a little different as well.

Great ideas in this thread.

I don't have my business cards printed yet but was considering Partner/Virtual assistant. I think putting 'Virtual Assistant' there is very important

On legals, I use "Owner/Operator." But I don't have a title listed on my business cards--just my name, email, and phone. I'm a one-man show, and most people already know that by the time they get my card.

That said, I think it's interesting when creative people use creative titles. Someone I worked with once, who was actually a partner in a decent-sized graphic design company, titled herself "Chief Coffee-Maker." It made a lot of sense for her personality. She was enormously talented but the most humble, down-to-earth person you could hope to know.
