Default My Business Card!! Feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
Soooooo... I just got my google voice account and solidified my domain name. I decided to be a little creative with my business card Its an ace card hehe. Let me know what you guys think. Am I missing important information? I figured I would just let prospective clients visit my website for more info on what I can do and keep my business card relatively simple. The front looks like a playing card and the back looks like the back of a playing card.

Totally awesome Shandon. Very creative. It will definitely stand out in the crowd. My only suggestion is that during some of my classes I was told you did not need to put in email or website as they are quite obvious from the way they are written.

ie

Email: abc@123.com
website: www.abc.com

Just a thought.

I totally agree I wasn't sure about which one to put so I just put both for now. Should I just put the website since I have phone number?

I think she means you don't need the words "email" or "website".
I have both on my cards.
The card looks pretty cool.

Hi Shandon,

I totally love the concept you have going on here. Very nice!

This is kind of "out there," but thought I would bring this up: The history of the meaning behind the the ace of spades in some circles is that it is considered the death card, an ending, or other sinister meaning, etc., and therefore projects a negative connotation, so it might not be the best to use for a business. (I know, I'm weird. )

Also, might a red card - ace of hearts or diamonds - stand out more?

I do love your card idea, though, and your design. Very innovative and imaginative!

Hi Shandon

Sorry for the confusion, Teressa was right, I meant you did not need the actual email and website words.

My mother says you learn something new everyday and I never knew that about the Ace of Spades. Red Diamond would be good and then go with the design on the back. Just some thoughts.

Good thoughts! I'm a little mixed since the Ace of Spades is also know as a symbol of power and dominance since it is the highest card (trump card) in the deck and though while used in some cases as the death card say in the Vietnam War when US soldiers tried to use it as a psychological tactic to scare the enemy, it was used in World War II as a good luck charm. One thing that is for sure is has meaning and its a strong one and that's what I want to portray to my clients: that this Ace has a purpose and what you use it for is up to you. One idea I might do is just do half of my cards as the Ace of Diamonds and half as the Ace of Spades. Then people can choose if they feel like it has a bad connotation Sounds like a great social project!

I never knew any of these meanings for the Ace of Spades. I definitely like your meaning Shandon. You should stay with the Ace of Spades. Having two might be confusing and there are some people like me who would not even know the meaning of the Ace of Spades except that it is strong and the highest card in the deck.

Again just some thoughts.
