Angry Have you been scammed by VistaPrint?
This isn't a work from home scam or a craigslist scam but it's annoying all the same -and from the results I get when I search online, it can be expensive!

I just designed and ordered some full color postcards from VistaPrint. When I was checking out they offered me at least twenty other add-ons and offers, I chose NONE of them. But when I got to the last page of checkout there was a small stamper added on to my order and a button I could push 'Place my order WITHOUT small stamper' so that's what I hit. Of course, it charged me for the darn thing anyway! So now I have to follow up with them tomorrow.

Just wondering if anyone else had been overcharged in this way, or any of the other ways I've now read about online.

I've not had that happen to me, but I have noticed that you have to be really alert and careful when checking out to make sure you don't get caught up with all of their repeated offers.

You can reach their PR folks on Twitter @VistaPrint. I saw someone tweet a complaint to them last week and they responded right away.

I recently ordered something from Academic Superstore and I noticed (thankfully) that you have to manually uncheck an already checked box to not have it shipped two day. I had to manually change it to get the cheaper shipping. I think that's pretty sneaky as well.

Let us know how it turns out.

Tess, I posted a link on the forum that was about a class action suit and Vista a few months ago. It was in Boston where Vista is located. I will try to find the link and bring it up again. I actually unsubscribed from Vista's mailing list when I read this. Vista refused to remove the charges. I don't think it was the same type of problem you had though.

I have been ordering from Vista Print for the last 5 or 6 years and have never had any issues with them.

I do agree that you have to watch the shopping cart carefully before you actually checkout, but I've noticed that with quite a few companies that I've made online purchases with.

Hopefully you will get this resolved quickly, Tess.

Tess, I found it and posted it. It's from this old post: Business Cards & Other items from Vista Print

I used to use Vista Print but now I use Staples.com and staplescopycenter.com. I got tired of having to sift through 10 pages of add-ons before being able to place an order.

I recently used Vista and was very happy with them. Though, I do admit before I could finalize my order I had to decline all other products. I guess we have to be careful on which services / vendor to use. Perhaps a VA can start offering these products - at least we know it will be coming from a good source.

I do remember the stamper tab at checkout. I wasn't charged for the item when I click on the 'without stamper' at that time.

Vista Print's check out is way too commercial and pushy. All of their marketing email, IMO is also way over the top. I've cancelled the email because it was out of control.

I have to say that their customer service was helpful and did refund a charge for something else due to my dissatisfaction with a product I received.

I'm happy to report this was resolved today [the power of Twitter ] - they refunded the money for the stamp and said it must have been a 'glitch'. Now I will look forward to seeing how those postcards turn out.

I will give them credit for quick follow through on this - just hoping the postcards are as fabulous as I expect them to be!

Tess, I got postcards from Vista and I loved them, so I think you will be happy with them. The colors came out nice, glossy finish, I always liked their products!

I recently ordered business cards from Vista and was very disappointed with the final result. What showed on the screen prior to ordering was not the same as the final product. Therefore, my logo and print is smaller on the actual card. Also, I have found that their freebies are not always free.

I have used a company called http://www.123print.com. I think they have better card stock than Vistaprint and they don't put their business name on the back of MY business cards. Also, I think their templates are much better.

I had to stop using them because their design template would no longer work with the MAC operating system. Maybe that has changed by now, I don't know.

I haven't done an order with vistaprint and after reading this I don't think that it is worth the hassle. Thanks for the heads up!

I will say that the postcards we ordered were GREAT, and in fact I liked them so much I made a few minor edits and ordered more. The second time I checked out the 'glitch' had been fixed and though that same stamper deal was automatically added at checkout I was able to remove it this time and was only charged for what I ordered.
