Thumbsup FREE business cards!
I've used this site, Vistaprint, myself for a few printing projects and did order a set of their free business cards (you just pay for shipping) - they offer some nice free templates or you can upload your own logo, etc. - just be careful with image resoultion and size when you do so!

It looks like now they are offering free rubber stamps, free sticky notes, free checks, etc. - haven't tried those but they may be worth checking out as well.

The free business cards carry a small ad for the website on the back but are otherwise completely YOUR business info. They're a nice way to get started without a big investment and/or design experience.

(For those who are into design or want to learn Illustrator has a nice tutorial and template for business cards - sheets of them if you want to create and print your own or have a place like Kinko's print and cut for you [last time I printed at Kinko's they charged me about $50 for 250 cards - printing and cutting] or you can just create the one card in Illustrator and upload the whole thing to Vistaprint)

This is a great site! I just did a Post Card mailing last month for my Life Event Legal Plans/Identity Theft Shield and they turned out wonderful! All I had to pay for was the envelopes and shipping!!!

Tami - your event sounds pretty amazing! Congrats on running such cool events - what a service you share with your community

Vistaprint is pretty great - I think they just recently opened up the *freebies* to include these other things, so I've not had the opportunity to try them all, just the biz cards which were stupendous.

Just curious, did your postcards carry that same small ad?
It's not such an obtrusive thing to have on there, actually...just wondering if it was any bigger on the postcards and where it was placed?

Hmmm, I'd never heard of Taymar, so looked it up - for those of you who have clients who need plastic imprintables looks like a good option!
Here's the link

Thanks Jackie!!

Tess, yes their logo was on the lower right side on the back of the card. The print was a couple of font sizes smaller than mine. It looked great and wasn't overpowering at all!

I also got my business cards through Vistaprint and was very pleased with them. As mentioned above, I only paid for shipping and I didn't mind having their ad on the back of the cards.

I have used VistaPrint on many occasions over the past 5 years, when I need some sort of simple design. They are a great resource. I have also utilized them for their rubber stamps and those are great as well. I do not know how they are able to offer so many free products but I am surely glad they do.
Another site I use when I want a small order but would like to utilize my own design and when I offer free personalized business cards to my clients with their web design is PSPrint. For $9.99 I can offer clients 100 cards I just add my promotion on the back for an additional $2 like vista print does when you get free cards from them. It has really helped get my name out there as far as my graphic design goes.

I LOVE Vistaprint! I have become quite addicted to their stuff actually. I think I have now gotten everything they offer for free. I love the hat, the business cards, keychain, pen, and stamper. The tshirt was nice design wise but the quality of the shirt wasn't the greatest. I have been afraid to wear it since I don't want to get it dirty and have to wash it. But I got to see what they were offering for free. Based on my dropshipping experience with wholesalers, it is probably one of those $2-$3 a piece shirts.

Vistaprint makes money on repeat orders or on the sxtras like the $5.99 to add your own logo design, etc. I am sure they have it set up so they make a buck or two on shipping as well. I used to do that on ebay if I had a cheap item.

Now that they have an affiliate program, I like to tell everyone about Vistaprint. The free products may draw them in, but they end up buying something or adding something extra to their order, all of which gives me a commission.

DId you know that their is a Canadian one and an American one? I was shopping at the American one until they sent me a note saying that I might prefer going to the Canadian one. The only difference I noticed, was one of the design I had chosen to use on the American site wasn't on the other one. It may end up saving in shipping to stay in your own country.

But, yes, I would tell everyone about Vistprint.

I have always been impressed with VistaPrint. More often than not, you can find some sort of discount code to use, which can save some pretty decent $$$.

I haven't tried the others, but they sound pretty good.

If you aren't comfortable going through an online service, Office Depot isn't a bad place to try.
