Colour variations in cards
Hi
I just received my order of 1000 business cards.
Unfortunately, when I went through them I noticed that half (ie ~500) were the nice purple I requested, and the other were more blue. they are still quality cards, thick, laminated on both sides - but the colour variation is disturbing. My graphic designer is looking at them tomorrow. They are a cheaper way of printing (but not cheap and nasty), but for the next round I will probably have to go elsewhere and pay more.

I expect I'll just run with what I have for the 1000 cards first...

Anyone else had issues like these?

Julie

I'll bet you're the only one who notices!

When you get new cards, the others will be great for fishbowl drawings.

Love your screen name!

You're right Lezly, the bluey/purple contrasting with bright pink logo will look just as good if it's more blue or more purple.
My 3yo already thinks cards are cool, so I'll let him play with them.
Missed my designer at swimming this morning, so I'll see what she says when we meet.
And 500 cards of the right colour is still A LOT to give away - and there's already heaps of work coming in, so less need to be out there giving them away.
Frizzy Logic was chosen to celebrate my large amount of curly/frizzy hair - and the logo matches this. I'll go and post it in a "show off your card" section.

I look forward to seeing your logo, Julie!

I fought my curly hair until I was 30. Then I married a man who loves curly hair so I grew it out & let my curls do what they want. Now, I get comments on my hair all the time.

My mother used to tell me that people paid for hair like mine... I never appreciated it until I was older and GREW it (this same mother made me have it short til I was 16 and I rebelled).

I couldn't post a pdf (how I have my business card) - it wouldn't upload to photobucket, so I'll just do a logo somewhere for now.

I assume you have much loved dogs, to have chosen Laserdog as your name??

Oh, I love it! Very unique & a clever play on words.

Yeah, I love dogs. Cats, too. Laserdog is the name I chose when I tried to start a DTP company in the early 90s. It was a more appropriate name for that business, but I love the name & logo so much I kept it when I started my VA business.
