Default Business card wording - help please
Hi everyone!

I would really appreciate some help with wording for my biz cards. I've got my company name (Absolute PA) and am working on a logo (will post for your comments shortly) but I don't know how to describe what I do so that it sounds interesting & punchy.

My offering is PA support and lifestyle management. I deliberately didn't use 'virtual' in my biz name as I intend to offer the flexibility of working in-house, but don't want to use PA in the description as it forms part of my biz name. Initially, the services I offer will be general admin (transcription, meeting, diary & email management, database creation & management, organisational systems, biz travel, research) plus event management & lifestyle management, but I do hope to expand my offering as I love learning new things so I don't want it to be too restrictive. My ideas so far are:

Absolute PA -
Administration & Lifestyle Management (too dull)
Business Support & Lifestyle Management (not strictly true)
Operational & Lifestyle Management (huh?)

Can you tell I haven't got very far? I want it to be to the point as the word Absolute suggests but I am really stuck. Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Alicia

Hi Alicia,

Here are some words that come to mind after reading your thoughts:

complete, pure, thorough, ultimate, boundless, detailed, sheer, embracing...

It took me a long time to get the wording right for my business as well, but something will jump out as "perfect" for you when it comes along. Good luck getting what feels right for you! =)

Yes, PA means Personal Assistant in the UK.

How about:

Metro Life PA
A-Z PA Services

As you can see with my business name I like having my location in there as I initially am targeting my local community. London is a little different as it's so large.

I doubt you're targeting a particular part of London though. And from what I hear a lot of businesses in London outsource to India for VA services as it's more cost effective. I would think you would need a name that would really stand out locally.

Good luck,
Janine

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood. You're looking for a tagline type ideas, not business names...oops.

That is tough as you have 2 different areas you're working in. I actually like the first option: Administration & Lifestyle Management. Not dull but simple and straightforward.

I have a double sided business card with contact details, logo, tagline on the front and then on the back a bit of a list of what I can do.

I redid business cards a few months ago:
Front:
Business Name, Complete Office Support, (My name) Managing Partner, Address (a local ups store), Phone/Fax, email, website address

Back:
Executive Office Assistance, What You Need When You Need It, (logo), The Smart Choice

Vehicle Signage (both sides and rear) says Company Name, Complete Office Support and website - traffic has only a minute or so to see and remember, so it has to be short, then they can go look at the website to see what services are offered.

After much thought and anguishing over it being just right, it was the best I could come up with.

Thanks for all your messages and advice - much appreciated! I've thought some more about this and think that I may create a proper tagline to use on my biz cards. So far I have come up with:

Absolute PA:

a. Assisting your business & lifestyle
b. Assistance for your business & lifestyle
c. Administrative support for your business & lifestyle
d. Complete administration & lifestyle management
e. Freelance administration & lifestyle support

What do you think? I would really appreciate your thoughts, or any other suggestions.

Alicia,
I'm leaning more towards "d" complete administration & lifestyle management.

WordPro Wizard....do you get much from your vechile signage? I've been thinking about that for awhile now.

How about:

Administrative Support & Lifestyle Management

I'm about to get vehicle signage done as well. Just waiting for the weather to improve a tad more and to stop having frost on my windows first thing!!! For a small community I think it could be a very good thing. I'll keep you posted.
