I would like to create several different business cards to represent my business and show off some of my dtp skills. What is the best card stock to use and where can I get it?

Check with your local office supply, printer, kinkos, etc. for suggestions on what stock to use. I purchase a custom 'marble print' card stock from a local paper warehouse for $33/ream (250 sheets). Since I also set up my cards 8/page (in Word) and have them printed (b&w) and cut at the local office supply, my biz cards end up being really cheap (approx $8/100 cards) and I can 'change them up' whenever the mood strikes...

I swear by expresscopy.com and use them for all of my client's direct mail and business cards. They're inexpensive, high-quality and they're prices include shipping.

I'm a huge VistaPrint fan as well. Everything I've ever done for my web sites, affiliate marketing, etc has been with them.

I really like Vistaprint too! They can have some really great deals at times as well. I don't know if using a printing company will accomplish what you are in search of as far as showing off your skills, but they do offer different options that you may find helpful.
