I recently went to get some advice at the SBA and we spoke about business cards and what my tagline would be. I put my question in this forum and received some really great feedback. When I told my consultant that i would be a virtual assistant and title would be Owner/Virtual Business Assistant they didn't seem to understand what a VA was. They said if i put that as my title and not explanation in my tagline, no one would know or be confused as to what i do. thoughts?

My current tagline is Superior Office Solutions for your Business. Now that I think about it, I sound like a temp agency and it really doesn't get the point across that I'm a virtual assistant.

Hi Bobbie,

In my opinion (and from reading forums regarding similar topics) having Virtual Assistant in the tag line should not hinder you in regards to obtaining clients. More and more the terminology "virtual assistant" is becoming understood and known.

I would stick with it. Of course there will be people who may not understand what a VA is which is a perfect oportunity to tell them and sell yourself at the same time.

From my experience, you are going to have to explain it no matter what. You might as well get a 30 second commercial ready.

Choose your tag line, business name, etc, with care. You want it to have staying power.
