Do you have a physical address listed on yor business cards, letterhead, etc.?

If so, is it your home address or a POBox?

If not, do you have any regrets about not listing one?

I have a physical address listed on my business cards, letterhead, etc. It is part of my branding and if someone has to send me something (a client needing to send letterhead to me) they have all the information necessary. I have had references from clients that have passed on my business cards to others.

A client once told me that if he can't see a physcial address on the business card, he's not sure they are a legit business.

I got some "free" business cards with Vista Print.

I was pleased with them and at the time I was happy to put my name, my home address details et al.

I'm not having second thoughts about the address just a feeling that I need to be a little cautious on where and to whom I hand them out to. I think the clients (when I get some LOL) will feel more comfortable knowing there is a real person with a real address to do their work and not someone who is going to run away with their money! I do only hand them out on a one to one basis - I think that is the safest option, especially as I live on my own!

I use a PO Box address and my cell phone number on my cards. Because I am 'virtual', I don't want people mailing things to (or showing up at!) my home.

Thanks for your replies. The difference in the responses pretty much correlate to the back-and-forth I have been having with myself on whether to list it or not.

My current cards have my address on them, but I'm doing new cards with my new business name on them and won't include an address because we're hoping to move in the new year.

I just purchased business cards for the first time. I had my cell phone and home address listed on them. I think this is the better way to go.

I just did my new cards for the new business and ended up using my address, but I only ordered 250, which should be enough that I won't have a ton left over when we get a new address.

Do you think it is worth purchasing a POBox instead of using your home address for safety reasons? I don't want to have to worry about who I give my cards out to - at this point I want to give them to anyone and everyone because you never know who could utilize your services.

If you have concerns or are going to worry about giving out your home address, rent a post office box.
