Default Virtual Services or Virtual Solutions??
I keep going back and forth about the last part of my name. Should it be Kelley Virtual Services or Kelley Virtual Solutions? Sometimes I think I should just dump both of those and use something else because no one seems to know what it means anyway! So if you have any other suggestions, I am open to them. If I get them soon anyway, my logo is being worked on and she is using the initials!

Well, I'm just a "newbie" but if I understand the SEO correctly, I would choose services. When people are searchng the internet, they are more likely to put Virtual Services in the search engine. But again, I could be wrong. In time I will have this search engine optimization idea down pat!The veteran VA's will guide you.
Good Luck!

Hi Tami!
I went back and forth with the the same thing - solutions or services. I picked solutions but from an SEO point of view I think that services might be more the way to go. Don't quote me though
Let us know what you decide on - I'll be interested to see others opinions.

I picked 'solutions' for my name, but really don't have a good reason why ... it just seems more comprehensive than services. Although it also borders on being one of those empty buzz words. But there's something in 'solutions' that suggests providing answers for clientele.
If you're into data entry, or bookkeeping or other types of repeating, straightforward work, you may not be interested in proving 'solutions.' If your work focuses on the whole business, 'solutions' may be applicable.

I'd actually be more concerned about the name Kelly rather than the other words. Even if it is your last name, aren't you concerned that it might be confused with the other Kelly Services (temp agency)? I did a quick Google search and the second item that came up was titled Kelly Services: Staffing Solutions. It could work to your advantage or disadvantage. Actually it could really work to your advantage - if they decided to sue you, the publicity would be wonderful for your business.

I don't know how forward thinking temp agencies are - but if I were in charge of marketing or branding at one of these companies, I'd be strongly suggesting that management trademark and register domain names for any virtual variation variation.

Hi Julie,
Don't worry about that part. I graduated from law school, and I know that I am able to use Kelley since it is my last name. I've checked in my state for businesses registered and checked registered trademarks. I didn't realize there was a Kelly Services until after I had decided on my name, but it is not spelled the same anyway.

Hi,
Deciding on a name is one of the most exciting part of starting your own business, but getting it right is one of the hardest parts there are just so many variants involved.

I just did a quick goolge search on both Virtual Services and Virtual Solutions
Virtual Services - 19,700,000 results
Virtual Solutions - 7,220,000 results

The first item that came up under V/Services is "Kelley Virtual Services" site under construction.
The second item that came up is this thread. - Big Brother or What?

In the end it has to be what you are happy with, and what you can live with.

Vicky,
That site that came up is mine. And the forum came up because of things I had posted here with links to it asking opinions when I had a wordpress template on there. Lol!

I struggled with the exact same question. In the end, I chose "Smart Virtual Services" because the "ir" in virtual seemed to flow with the "er" in services.
