Okay I had an idea to use my kids names for a business name for myself-- but then I went and got a domain that was insanely simple - just my name then 'theva'. I am really kicking myself for this one.
The idea I had was naming myself Parker Lane Virtual Services or HK Park Virtual Services and play off the idea of a park bench and how me performing services for them would give them time to sit and relax and refocus their energy
Was my first idea the better one and should I work that into things and just use the current url I have for more of a personal blog and link then to my new VA site???
Or is it really not important about the name and branding and can I just keep the "Alaina the VA" and go with that. I've found that a lot of times my first name alone is a nice conversation starter in of itself.
Alaina, I honestly think either one is a fine choice and there are lots of branding/marketing options with each.
Which one resonates more with you?? (and remember, you can always let the other domain go at the end of the year if you decide not to use it)
Personally, I like Alaina the VA
(If I HAD to choose one...) - it's short and to the point, plus it's got a nice personal touch/tone to it which can be so hard to find in the online presentation of a virtual practice.
That's what I was thinking as my kids names only have a special meaning to me. And it's no confusion as what Alaina is... Alaina is a VA plain and simple- and that's how I am I am plain and like simple things.
