Question Tagline Ideas
It's Caroline again. Still in the business planning stage and I've been brainstorming to come up with a tagline or slogan. My business name is
LC Mills, Inc. I'll be doing mostly administratvie office support starting out.

I thought about leaving off the "Inc." on my logo and my site and have something like:

LC Mills: A Name You Can Rely On. -or-
A Name You Can Depend On.
Also maybe-
Signature Virtual Office Support (And have my name in a pretty legible script)

Please give me some ideas.

Sorry to post again. But I've been brainstorming off and on all day. Can't make myself stop! Anyway, what do you think of these:

LC Mills, Inc
"For the professional so good the bad sticks out!"
"Help for the professional so good the bad sticks out!"
"Support for the professional so good the bad sticks out!"
"...so good the bad stands out!"
"...so good the bad can't hide!"

Check it out with my logo. http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/...c/logo11-1.jpg

So what do you think? Would the average professional understand my tag and maybe identify with it? And do you think they'd have an idea of what I my company is about? Do you think it sounds too "country"?

erggg, ummm..... I really wouldn't use 'the bad sticks out' in your tag. That's all I could focus on and I know that's not how you want to be known. Try not to put any kind of negative in your tag, even if it is negative about your competition. Keep it all positive and "Yes" like.

Kim.

Personally, I'm not keen on the whole "bad" concept. It made me do a double-take. I think I get where you are going with it but it's not immediately obvious and I just can't get past the idea that bad is the last thing I think of after reading it.

I don't mean to be a downer, I'm just trying to give you my perspective. Hope it helps in some way

Yeah it was late last night when I came up with it. LOL! Saved it as my desktop with the logo. When I cut on the computer and saw the logo/tagline in my face this morning.....I blushed. OMG! I can't believe I thought that was a good idea. LOL!

Thanks for your honesty. If you told me it was great, I might have questioned your motives...LOL!
What about:
LC Mills, Inc. "We love the work you hate to do!"
"Signature Virtual Office Support"
"Go Beyond!"
"Supporting Success!"

Does anyone have any good ideas for me?

Don't worry, I've had a lot of cringe moments myself. It's good to brainstorm without holding back but to then check back a day or two later to see if if it still sounds as good as you first thought. I'm not 100% sold on my own tagline "Making Time For Business" so have held off putting it on all my marketing materials. I figure it would be nice to have but it's not critical to starting my business.

I do like your suggestion "We love the work you hate to do!". I imagine that would resonate with a lot of potential clients.

Lightbulb Re: Tagline Ideas
Linda-I understand exactly. I like your tagline by the way.

What about something like "Making Time for Life". You can always make time for work. But the average business owner has to make effort to make time for life or for doing the things they love. You'll help them with this because Clockwise Virtual Assistance specializes in "Making Time for Life". (Hey, did I sell it?! LOL) Just throwing that out there. LOL

Currently I'm mentoring under Diane Hess of Hess Business Proffesionals and Associates. She said I really need to use a tagline because my name, LC Mills, Inc., doesn't give any clue as to want I do. She said to try to include the world Virtual in it at least.

I'm still brainstorming......(to be continued.)

Wow this seems like ages ago. Anyway, I decided on "Signature Virtual Office Support". Visit my site to view my logo. I love it!

I was reading this and really liked Signature Virtual Office Support so I copied and was ready to paste it to tell you I liked it and then I saw you had actually chosen it! I really like it and your site is gorgeous! Best of luck in it
