Question Tagline help - Virtual Assistant Forums

I need some help with my tag line. My company name is Laserdog Productions - a name I used years ago in a desktop publishing biz that never got off the ground. I have a great logo that features the dog head you see in my avatar, but I'd like a new tag line that correlates to my VA biz.

Since my company name & logo are dog related, I was thinking of a take off on that old saying, "Dog is man's best friend."

Laserdog Productions
Your business's best friend.

My husband thinks "A business man's best friend" is a better choice since it is closer to the original saying, but I'm hesitant to use a gender specific tag line.

Actually, I'm not even thrilled about my idea, but I haven't been able to think of anything else. How important is a tag line & is it better to not have a tag line than a poor one?

I'm no expert, but how about something like:

Your Business' Virtual Best Friend!

There's a VA on this forum who LOVES helping with this type of thing--it's totally up her ally. I cannot remember her name but she's good at tag lines. I think she also helped me solidify my choice for a tag line: "Priceless Administrative Services--Virtually!"

Good luck--I think you have the right idea and are on the right track.

You're welcome--I also just came up with another idea that may or may not be corny...how about:

"We put our nose to the grindstone for YOU!"
"Getting to the Bones of your Business!" (LOL...okay, stretching it here!)

Silly, maybe but hopefully, it help generate some input from other VAs.

I'm tired, so the ideas above are from a sleep-deprived VA. Hee hee...

Oh Kathya, I love both those ideas! This is exactly what I needed - a completely different perspective. You have a very creative sleep-deprived brain!

Hi there - I really like that Kathya has incorporated an action into the statement instead of a static description too! I thought maybe characteristics of the man's best friend incorporated might work... something like "unsurpassed loyalty and commitment to your success" or "sharp, smart and faithful service". Food for thought, good luck with developing it.

These are good ideas, too! I'm so glad I posted here. I was totally stumped & without any ideas at all. Now I have a lot to think about.

Sounds like you got a lot of good ones to choose from. I will throw my 2 cents in and offer up: "We take the bite out of your admin tasks!"
