Good analogy!
The purpose of a tagline is to make your business stand out from others. The goal of a tagline is something that will attract attention and stick in people's heads.
Think of this scenario...
You have distributed some marketing material either online or physically to local businesses.
A business owner/manager is struggling with a project and happens to remember your tagline that applies to their project, that he/she saw somewhere.
A quick google search of your tagline directs them to your website, and BINGO! You have a potential client.
The tagline that I came up with for my business is, "A Virtual Solution to Real Administrative Needs." I remember the first tagline I ever wrote took FOREVER! But this one seemed to just pop in my head one day when I was updating my contracts.
