Default Need opinions on this name!
My business coach has been working with me on a business name. His philosophy is using an unexpected combination of two words making it unique and "top of mind." He suggested this name:

ExecuStrive

Tagline: Details Get Done

Need opinions on name and tagline or suggestions. Many of the VAs here are really creative wordsmiths!!

Thanks.

I really like that name. I think it will appeal to high end executive admin positions possibly assisting a CEO. If thats your niche then the name fits!

The business name is just brilliant!!!

Tagline is short and clear too, but because I do not know your target market, it is really difficult to say if it suits your business name. But I guess your business coach knows better!

Count me in too on loving the name. It is short and simple and catchy and I could just go on and on.. Excellent choice.

My only comment is the name and tag don't give me any indication of what you do.

Catchy, but do you really need it right now? I mean, you're just starting out, right? Unless you're starting right away as a multi-VA agency, then you're essentially a solo entrepreneur, a freelancer. As such, it's much easier to operate under your own name. You'll be working with a handful of clients and dealing with each and every one personally every step of the way. So why spend time and money coming up with something you have no use for at this point? Just a thought.

I like it, but as others have said, it doesn't give anyone any idea of what you do. I started out with a professional name, and a simple tagline, but I didn't get too many hits. It wasn't until I stepped out of the box and stepped up my game that people really started to take notice of me.

oneclick-va, I have to disagree. You don't need to be a multi-va firm to have a professional appearance, or be more than just your name. Businesses want to know that you're more than a faceless person using a laptop from their couch... every thing that you do shows who you are and how you will provide services to them. Your name and your brand is something that you should carry with you and use to your advantage, so she has plenty of use for it now. JMO.

Balancing Act, can you elaborate on this "stepping out of the box and stepping up my game" part? Did it have to do with changing your name, etc? Or did you keep your name same as it was before you started getting noticed?

My point is not that you don't need to have professional presence. Instead, what I'm saying is you can look very professional with just your name and your photo on your website or your biz card. I think this deals with the problem of "faceless person using a laptop from their couch" much more efficiently than spending time and money on an abstract company name, the logo and the tagline.

As to the statement that "everything that you do shows how you will provide services"... It's a great attitude to have, but the reality is that too many businesses (not limited to VA field) call themselves these sleek professional names and smooth tag lines, but their products/services and customer service levels suck anyway.

Janet,
I agree with the people who have said that it's very catchy and simple which is probably best. I am just starting out on my own as well so I do understand how hard it is, do you have a specific audience in mind?
