Default Need Help with Business & Domain Name
It's been a long time coming, but my goal is to have website finished by Sunday night and I'm almost done.

With that almost out of the way, need some help/feedback on my business name.

1. PLEASE VOTE FOR AND/OR MAKE SUGGESTION FOR BUSINESS NAME:
Which do you like better?
1a) Janniere Business Solutions (Name I am currently using)
1b) Janniere Business Services
(if you think of any other combo, please suggest).

2. PLEASE VOTE FOR AND/OR MAKE SUGGESTION FOR DOMAIN NAME:
Want to have a domain name that is easy to recite to potential clients
2a) jannierebusinesssolutions.com (I can picture myself having trouble with this)
2b) janbizsolutions.com
2c) timetogovirtual.com - I am working on a tagline and elevator speech that has the phrase "It's time to go virtual", but do not want to use as biz name.

Look forward to the honest feedback.

1. I actually like either

2. b. short and includes you name. I do like 2c but it may get confusing having a separate name and domain.

Hi Gennia,
I agree with Lee on both points.

Just wondering why you wouldn't want to use 2c [time to go virtual], or some variation, as both domain and biz name? I quite like it and see plenty of marketing/tagline potential there and there are SO many 'business solutions' and 'business services' out there [not that there's anything wrong with the name you're currently using! ]

Tess
I got negative feedback from my client, who I know quite well. Said he didn't like "Time To Go Virtual" as my business name. I've been back and forth so many times between Janniere Business Solutions and It's Time To Go Virtual (TTGV)that my brain is fried. Can you suggest some variations on the TTGV name?
Thanks,
Gennia

Lee,
Thanks for the feedback.

It would be good to know why your client didn't like "Time To Go Virtual," which I think is clever. Maybe, though, it seemed like a bit of a mouthful. No less descriptive, but just as catchy (I think) might be "Go Virtual," provided the tag line would then be descriptive.

Janniere ~

I see it's been three weeks. Where are you with this now?

It's not your client's biz, now is it? I'd be careful about bending to one client's preferences - you cannot be overly sensitive to the naysayers in life, if you are you'll be mentally paralyzed and never make any progress in your life.

Hmmmm.... you don't want to look like you are playing off of "Go to My PC"

I actually LOVE "Go 2 My VA" - but I guess that is in the category of too close to the well-known "GotoMyPC"

Not sure if this helps, but I think it is a good idea to have the word "virtual" in your name. I base this on things I have read about SEO and metatags. I am no expert, and I'm sure others have more in-depth understanding of these concepts. You may be overthinking it, though. Go with what YOU like , and probably keep it simple. My $0.02.

Do we really get a lot of business from our online presence? I am going into this thinking most of my clients will come from local networking. Therefore, using "virtual" for the sake of SEO is not really an issue.

Even if you do your marketing online, I'm not sure SEO is a factor, if you don't show up on the first page of a google search, your online presence is basically invisible to those who simply plug something into a search engine.

Networking Online, as in real life, is - me thinks - the key to finding clients.

These are just the presumptions I am operating from as I prepare to launch... I am open to constructive criticism, challenges, etc.

Another suggestion...

Time to be Virtual

Time 2B Virtual

Real Virtual

One of the business names I was seriously consider, before I decided to go with the "EcoGreenREVA" name, was...

Concrete Virtual Services

My maternal grandfather actually owned a concrete block company, so this name had a double meaning for me.... and I liked the way "concrete" and "virtual" played off of one another.

Best wishes.
