I'm having someone create a banner ad but he prefers not doing the creation or searching for a graphic. Where would you recommend getting one for a banner ad?

Hi Collette, I believe you can get some really nice images from http://www.gettyimages.com. Some images are royalty free and some you have to pay for. I dont' know of a site just for banners. It depends on type of graphics you are looking to use. Start with http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/clipart/default.aspx, it may contain royalty-free images you might like, or select one of the alternate links in the page to view graphics offered by other service providers. I paid for an image from istock, put it in photoshop and changed the colors a bit. I then added a transparency layer to the image and added my business name over it and voila - logo! __________________ --Leigh

Be aware, that even if you purchase an image or use a royalty free image, there can still be restrictions on how the image is used such as they may have stipulated that the image cannot be used for commercial gain. Unless this person who is doing the work for is doing it for free, I'd find someone else who is willing to do the creation or do the searching for an appropriate graphic with the appropriate license. Logo searching took me ages and gave my lotsa angst....onto the website design now...sigh! Fiona

I am pretty creative but I realized I didn't want it to look as though I did it myself. In the end, I made the decision to get it done because I plan to market my newbie butt off. I heard about LOGONERDS on the board and I'm glad I went that route. I'm waiting on the final draft so I can upload it so you guys can tell me what you think!
