Hi,

I was wondering what companies you guys used to do your logo? I actually already created my own but I need it to but printed on letterhead, biz cards, etc, then I want to include it on my website. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I did my own originally in paint (www.getpaint.net) and then re-sized it in photoshop for printing purposes.

Hello Tip Top,

Our graphic designer did ours. But, you can use just about anyone right here on the VAF. Take a look at the VAF Directory, then visit the sites that are there. Find one you like and then ask them to supply you with a quote.

Good luck,
Andrea~

I used AAA logo creator. It gives you the a variety of output options including JPEG and PNG. Also you can can create a transparent background for use with the web or print. In my opinion it is a great way to go. It also gives you hundreds of templates to go on so you can change up your image at anytime really easily. Anyone who has been in business for long knows that if you ever have to rebrand yourself it can be a real pain!

I think the hardest part is deciding what you want your logo to look like! I started with a laptop 'wearing' a ivy-wreath (like Greek Olympians won) and the hubby said 'if you're going to be the office goddess, why not use the figure of a goddess?" The rest, as they say, is history!

Using paint.net. I took a picture of a statue holding a gazing ball (Urania - Aphrodite's aspect of spiritual love), converted it to a line drawing, deleted the gazing ball and added a laptop, then tweaked the text multiple times (with some awesome suggestions from Tess! - thanks, again!) and the colors until I was happy with my logo. It took some time, but I really like what I ended up with finally.

I use a program called The Logo Creator. Does a good job, easy to use, and it is relitively unexpensive ($30). You might be able to find it cheeper at eBay or Amazon. http://www.thelogocreator.com/Buy-Now.html

Hope this helps,
Julie

I just used logonerds.com and they do awesome work. They gave me 6 concepts for 37.00 (after a $10 off coupon that I found on the internet) which I didn't think was to bad. I searched and all the other sites were charging more. I tried to create one myself but I never could seem to get it just right.

Hope this helps.....

Stephanie

One of my friends is a graphic artist, and I'm paying her to design a logo for me. I know how important a quality logo is for first business impressions, and I do not have graphic skills to satisfy my expectations.

The logo I currently have as my profile pic and up in a few places, such as my Twitter account, is a basic Celtic knot that is not my final logo.

For me, the $100 I spend in having a professional work with me to design my logo is an easy expense to justify in the long run. I will be able to start my business with a professional logo that I can use to design my business cards, letterhead, invoicing, work my website around, etc.
